Seat re placement?

Does any body sell a seat set,already recovered,ready to install with a (core) for my old seats?or does everybody just sell new skins?i don't want to go through the hasell of recovering.

Seat covers

I do not know of anyone selling new replacement seat assy per say. There are always used seat assy for sale in the c5 parts for sale section. Mid America in Effingham, IL will rebuild your cores. This requires sending your seat assemblies to them. I have seen their work and it looks very good. Mark at Vettenuts.com has seat assemblies for sale out of salvaged cars. I have had my seats out and apart myself and I would not consider it that hard to replace the covers. Any upholstery shop could replace the foam and skins on your cores locally. I had some 1966 seat recovered, I supplied the materials and they did the work for 200.00. Good luck

I dreaded the seat skin replacement myself but found it a somewhat fun job...Nothing overcomplicated and took about 4 hours taking my time with an extra set of hands....After getting quotes to install them, I am so glad I tackled it.

I don't recall seeing any vendor offering an exchange program for seats. As you know many vendors offer the seat covers and foam replacements and a good upholstery shop can install them for you at a reasonable price. Or, you could try recovering them yourself - just review the install instructions on the Vette Essentials web site (www.vetteessentials.com).

The cost of shipping 4 seats is going to cost WAY more than having a local shop install foam and skins you purchased.

There is one vendor that does provide the seat tracks service but not the whole seat.

I know a one guy, works out of his garage in Brighton Colorado. He does exchanges and usually has a few sets around. We did an exchange. Let me know if you want his number.
