I put my key fob into my sweatshirt pouch today with my sunglasses and when I pulled it out, I was missing the grey trunk release button. It is a relatively new key fob and is the passive version, so you don't even have to push the buttons to open or lock the doors. It's for a 97. The other buttons still work.
Can I just replace the button? Anybody want to sell me there old fob that's not working, I just need the trunk release button.

Anybody ever just replace a button?
Any help would be appreciated???
If you can't find a button you could try making your own. Seriously. Buy some Sugru. It is a moldable rubber that will harden up after 24 hours.
BTW - I don't know about the "passive version" of the key fob. I have a 2001 and I do push the fob buttons.
I haven't seen any replacement shells and inserts for sale for the type he needs, the 97-99 with passive switch. If you have any links to ebay or anywhere that sells them post them up for 57gman.
