Can anyone offer a review of the Hinson diff mount? If installing the diff mount only on a stock Z06 ...
1. How much does interior noise and vibration increase?
2. How effective is it at controlling drivetrain shake (wheel hop)?
Has anyone tried both the Hinson and HoosierPE / Pfadt mounts? How do they compare?
Looking to buy something just not sure what. Want to eliminate or significantly reduce the drivetrain shake but not increase interior noise/vibration much.
To make a long story short, GET the motor mounts and the trans mount from Hinson.
It made a great difference in my car. All of the rubber band feeling in the drivetrain is gone. No extra noise and the ONLY extra vibes i could feel is a very VERY slight harmonic at about 1600rpm (mind you i have a light flywheel and monster clutch that had been "match" balanced, which wasnt perfect).
My car had driveline shake before the mounts, and barely any now (due to old hard tires). I expect it to be totally gone when I get fresh tires on it in the spring.

personally I prefer the pfadt mount but I am not a fan of the way afe has decided to substantially mark up the prices of their products, especially after how pfadt ended the first time... I sold my pfadt diff mount a week or so ago because I don't need it anymore, if you keep your eyes open you might find one for a more reasonable price... it vibrated a tad at idle but I am cammed and the car is not the tamest out there to begin with so it didn't bother me... I also had all of the shims installed to make sure the pads were putting a good amount of pressure on the cradle to ensure that the drivetrain could not move... I also have pfadt motor mounts and along with the diff mount there was zero wheel hop/shake and it helped keep my drivetrain alive... I'm sure the hinson stuff is better than stock but I just don't prefer the design compared to other offerings... their diff mount might be more rigid than a stock mount but there is still no support on the sides so with enough power I'm sure you could get it to give way
