I was looking up header options and found these curious if anyone has used them etc? for 266 dollars id get my welder to weld them to my stock h pipe and come out much cheaper than any other options i can think of.
Input?

Think I'll see where this one goes. Obviously, have to be Chinese made (isn't just about everything?) but 1-7/8" headers for so cheap is interesting. BTW, my link showed $280, not $266. That's strange.
From the Manzo website they are 280 but on amazon they are 266 and FREE SHIPPING!!!! Very curious because for that price I dont mind having to do some slight welding and fabricating. I do know you need an extension pipe(about 1 foot or so) to attach the headers to the stock h pipe(ive had my h pipe welded into a x pipe so I dont see buying one).
I did some Google-ing on these headers. None found on any Corvettes that I could see although there was a thread on em. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-headers.html I checked some reviews on other car sites and reviews were mediocre to bad. A few good reviews. There were some that had used them for a couple of years and most had some problems with welds starting to crack/break. Original installs seemed ok for the most part. From what I've read and seen, you might be the first to get some for a Corvette. If so, I do think the good price point might be worth a chance if you go into it with your eyes open and know that some repairing might be needed down the line. Keep us updated to where you go with this.
I'm either doing these or nitrous for christmas. I have a fantastic welder (Henrys Muffler of Raleigh NC) that would probably handle it. I do not plan on buying the x pipe. I actually had Henry make my h pipe an x pipe and my stock exhaust a quad tip straight pipes setup, He did all that for 270. I think i am planning on installing the headers driving it down with the xpipe and muffler in the trunk and having him do the rest. I would be I could have it all done for under 500. The only thing I am scared of is that on one website it read hp gains of 10-16. Its not worth it if thats true however I believe it to be Chinese garbage writing because they are clearly a knockoff? I am hoping for the 30-40 average from long tubes.
My guess with just an upgrade to headers, maybe 20HP. If you have it tuned afterwards, you might see 30-35HP. The headers work well with other mods to let your car breathe. Intake, cam, etc all introduce more air into the system, which allows more fuel, etc... The headers increase the removal of that increased intake. A nitrous kit will definitely give you a bigger kick in the pants than the headers, but those $30-40 nitrous refills get tiresome after a while. GL whichever way you go with this.
Have them here, had a local guy install them and he was amazed on how smooth the install went on the headers and X. Oddly enough I found them cheaper on Ebay then the actual website, Btw I also paid $266 shipped. As for power I couldn't tell ya how they performed alone being that I did them w/ a ported Fast 92/90 setup.

Been going on probably 3 months no issue's whatsoever. I've also heard they were Kooks ripoffs. As for the 10-16 hp im sure they gain more then that, BBK shorties advertise around those same power gains dyno tested.

Out of curiosity I did some poking around to see what other stuff they have and they do also have the mid-pipe with x-setup to complete the system for $145.
I think I paid $240 for they're Xpipe setup on Ebay.
Thank you so much for your input and bravery in being the guinea pig. this is great news, however it makes my decision between headers and nos even harder this christmas

Thanks but before I bought them I found one guy here via a google search that also said the install was pretty smooth on these. It was a toss up between these and the TSP's but there was still a $200 plus dollar difference that was hard to pass up.
I've got the car up anyhow for a suspension upgrade and to swap out the differential... I already have a corsa pace car cat back and xpipe on the car, and have a pair of generic high flow cats with 3" inlet and outet, some nice lengths of 3" 304 stainless tubing and bends, a mig set up for stainless and a tig, a couple of stainless o2 sensor bungs left over from building a 4" 304 stainless exhaust for my boat last year... what could go wrong? ;-)
