Hi here it goes, the car has about 3126 miles on a 2002 ,I have babied it for 1000 miles or more ,for regular driving the clutch works fine but if you run the RPM s up and shift from 1st to 2nd the clutch peddle comes back but the clutch slips for a while then it grabs,  I am worried the clutch has lost its performance egde,
I heard of clutch problems with the Z06 ,is there a fix?
Does drilling out the restrictor fix the problem or not ?Is there another fix ,if drilling out restrictor what size and were is it
should i take it back to the dealer for a clutch ?
any thoughts would be appreicated
I recieved the car on may 17th of this year

am I the only with this type of situtation if anyone could give feed back or help ,or any info on there clutch, just looking for answers,
thanks

Lotta folks who push their Z06s hard have experienced clutch woes. But usually it is trouble with the pedal...not slippage. The Chevy Tech Center is very familiar with the fixes and can instruct your dealer accordingly. If your clutch is really slipping, you have no alternative to taking the car to the dealer. But you want to select the local dealer that is very familiar with the Corvette clutch. Most aren't. So choose carefully.
Also what mods, if any are on your car?
If it's been on the drag strip, I wouldn't try to deny the fact to the dealer, if asked. This is because they will probably find some rubber debris up in the nooks and crannies in the under-carriage, no matter how well you've cleaned it.
Nonetheless, almost all dealers will do the first clutch swap under warranty.
Sounds a bit odd. Air in the line or some mechanical problems would cause the friction point to be near the floor, not at the top of the pedal travel. There was a post or two about the automatic adjustment not adjusting. The solution was to take the inspection plate off and manually rotate the adjusting ring.
Definitely something wrong - get it to a dealer ASAP - sounds like pressure plate has gone south or the disc is FUBAR. Very unusual at this low mileage and no this is NOT normal wear, don;t let the dealer tell you different. I have 7K miles on my car, been to the strip many times and have road raced the car - clutch is fine!

I would like to thank everyone answering my question ,sorry it took so long to get back to all of you been on vacation and didn't address the issuse with GM until now,
Just received the car back and the dealer found a wireing harrness in the way of the clutch Peddle they replaced the cable and the clutch seems to work good ,doesn't slip know , I've talked to the tech guy and also asked the question of the clutch performance now that it has been sliping these times, and they told me to drive it and see if it chatters and slips ,if so they will Replace it and bring it back in, I felt the Lou Grubb dealer ship on Bell road in Phx ,they did a good job.I will test and give feedback
Gary :D
I've got over 9000 miles on mine, with some 'spirited' driving and no clutch problems. Haven't taken it to the strip with it's stickier pavement or used any racing tires either though.
