So, i picked up another Fbod ( like i need one) and asked one of my buddies if he could give me a ride. Like us, he owns a C5Z (1000rwhp) but he has one of his Dr. Buddies w a new C7Z.. So he pulls up in his buddies Blue C7Z ( in the rain) and we make the 2 hr drive from my house ( rain was off/on) is has every option except the seat upgrade... Gorgeous car!! A8....
I must say that i was VERY impressed.... The car handled, sounded, drove awesome... Even with the A8 is was VERY impressive, and accelerated like mad..!! I cannot say enough good things about this car! It definitely changed my opinion of the C7Z's.... I would certainly love to own one someday. OTD with all the options on his was around $118K.... I believe the baseline cars are $85ish...? Anyway, no hatin here regarding C7Z's... with that, i will never get rid of my C5Z...
Anyone else care to comment who has driven, rode in one?
I agree.
While I love my C5, and think the fifth generation of Corvette still timeless and beautiful, I liked C7 from it's first introduction.
When I first saw the C7Z at the LA auto show, I just thought 'they nailed it'.
Even my wife, who doesn't know a SuperCharger from a Snickers bar, thought the C7Z 'very beautiful' (she said).
A while back, I was out to A&A, and Andy took me for a ride in his new C7Z. It's an awesome car, in ride, sound, and appearance. I believe the best sounding Corvette I've ever been around, when you 'nail it' a little. Wish I could get that exact sound on mine (hmmmm...$$$)
But my SC C5 still gives me unending smiles, it's exciting to drive, and I still 'look back' every time, when leaving it in a parking lot, or even in my own driveway.

Got a short (maybe 2 minute) ride in one at Bloomington Gold this year. Rode along with an instructor from the Ron Fellows driving school. He drove the car like he had stolen it and it definitely was very impressive from a performance standpoint. Chevy did do a great job on the car and if I could afford one, it would be on my next car wish list.
I love the C7Z. I've driven in two of them and it's an incredible machine.
I'm planning to make the move on one next year. I just want to wait until April for the bash update to see if there will be any improvements for 2017 that I want to wait for or what the new colors will be considering they are phasing out the Nightrace Blue and Orange.
Right now I'm going back-n-forth between Arctic White with red interior or Long Beach Red with black/red stitching interior.
my only problem with the c7 z is the front fender. I love the way the c6 z06 has flared fenders front and back. it flows really well 30th the car. but why in the hell did they just add a little plastic extender on the front wheel well? it looks cheap and lazy to me. maybe I'm being g picky but I just can't stand that.
Probably no surprise, but my vote would be for the AW...
With all the Carbon Flash trim, vents, etc. on the C7, I think the Arctic White looks fantastic. The color screams sports car, especially if you add the Adrenaline Red interior with Comp Seats. That matches up great with the red brake calipers, red "Z"06 letters and other trim.
I too love the Arctic white.... I don't have the capital for a C7Z at this point.... Considering wrapping my C5Z in white.... It will be something different/drastic but if I don't like it, I can always remove it back to the sinister black look....

While I absolutely love red cars, my vote would be AW for the C7Z as well. Looks very clean and purposed, the metallic red makes it look like a weekend cruiser.
