I bought a set of wheels and tires from a 2003 to install on my 1998. Are there any issues I should concern myself with? They did come with adapters for the rear wheels. I don't think the tire sensors will work but not sure. Any comments from you please?

If they are factory wheels, there really should be no need for a spacer for them to work on your car. If they are not factory wheels, then the spacer could be needed.
Wheels that fit on a 2003 C5 (spacers or not) should fit on any year C5 because the offset of the wheels for all year C5's coupes and verts is the same. The Z06 wheel offsets vary a little from those of the coupe or Vert but the Z06 wheels also mount to any year C5 without a problem.
The TPMS from a 2001 through 2004 C5 will NOT work on a 97 - 2000 C5 unless you also change out the RFA and the fobs to those from a 2001 - 2004 C5.
The stock wheels I removed are 17 front and 18 back. The ones I put on are 18 front and 19 back. I was told with out the adapter I would only have .25 inch side space to the wheel wells. Would that be ok? I would rather not use the adapters if I didn't have to. Also I'm new at this what is RFA and how do I deal with that? Thank you for your reply.

We need to know what the wheels are. C6 OEM wheels?? Some aftermarket wheel?? If they are an aftermarket wheel then we need to know the width of the wheel as well as the offset or setback to be able to help you.
Are the items you got with the wheels spacers or wheel adapters? Two totally different products that can achieve the same end effect of moving the wheels out toward the fenders. On a C5 you cannot use a thicker than 1/4" spacer without replacing the wheel studs with longer studs. A spacer thicker than 1/4" on the OEM studs will NOT have sufficient threads engaged to safely secure the wheel to the hub.
A wheel adapter uses the factory studs and lug nuts to secure the adapter to the hub and has its own studs and lugs that are used to secure the wheel to the adapter. If you use an adapter then it needs to be 1" or thicker since the factory studs are 1 1/4" and may interfere with mounting the wheel flat to the adapter since they would protrude past the mounting surface of the adapter.
If the wheel is an OEM C6 wheel then you will need at least a 1/4" spacer to keep the tires from rubbing the inner fender wells. If appearance is an issue and you don't like the appearance of wheels sunk into the wheel wells then you will need spacers or wheel adapters to accomplish that.
The wheels are stamped GM inside the hub. The guy I bought them from had them on a 2001 vet. He told me there are from a 2003 vet and that I would need the adapters because without them I would only have 1/4 inch space to the wheel wells. Yes they are clearly 1 inch adapters with their own studs. I would also like to turn off the tire pressure reading error message on the dash can't figure out how to do that. I have to hit the reset every time I start the car. I added a picture but don't know where it went? I'm new at this sorry. I used insert image and it seemed to work but I don't see the picture.20151023_212215694_iOS.jpg Maybe this will work for the picture.
Thank you for your help very much. So if I would use a 1/4 inch spacer that would be safe? I think that is what I will do. I have the TPMS from my stock wheels and you feel they will work in the C6 wheels? That would be a easy fix. I have brand new run flat back tires with less than 1,000 miles on them I would like to sell at a deal if that would be a help to some one and fairly good front tires. My whole thought was to have nicer looking wheels then the C5 stock wheels. I will break down the stock wheels and use the TPMS if they will fit the C6 wheels. I will also sell my stock wheels in great condition if possible.
i run those same wheels on my 99 vert with 1/4" spacers in the rear. looks great and i always just double check lug nut tightness as you are using less threads. had them about 10k miles and no problems so far

Thank you ever so much! That was great info and I will do the same on mine. Do you know where to buy the spacers or is that something I will have to get made? What torque on the back wheels with the spacers? I'm using 70 ft lbs at present. You have a great looking Vet and thanks again for the help. Dennis

Thank you for your kind welcome and glad to be a part of this group. Have not owned my vet long i'm in the the learning mode. Thanks again.
WAY LOW. Owners manual if you have one says 100Ft-Lb for ALL wheels.
Check Ebay for spacers.
C5 and C6 wheel circle: 5 on 4.75" (120.65MM)
Thank you once again. You have been a great help and I will get right on it. I have a lot to do now. Break down my old wheels change the TPMS, buy 1/4 inch spacers. Try to sell brand new rear tires off my old wheels and the old wheels them self. Dennis Ps What tire pressure are you using for the C6 run flat tires?
