I did this mod a couple of days ago for the first time. It is relatively easy when followed by the write up. Very easy and straight forward. I am not a solder expert but just even a light solder on the 241 corners for 2002, put it back together and finally I can see the climate control display.
There was hardly any solder on there from the factory.

If for some reason you just don't want to try fixing it yourself, try contacting forum member tstar - he used to do the repairs but not sure if he still does or not.
Over the years I repaired mine twice. I guess I didn't get a good solder joint the first time. It's very easy to do, even if you never have done this type of work before.
