I did a search but could not find the info I am looking for.
I'm looking at buying a members car that has a cracked molding on the drivers side. From my search I think this is a somewhat common problem.
But I couldn't find any info or pictures of anyone who has replaced it?
I've posted the part number a few times. I don't have my paperwork in front of me to post it again and don't have a moment to search (kinda busy at work), but if you look through posts by me you'll find it.
this picture doesn't show me anything. step back from the car a bit....
I linked the plastic part that is a large triangle shape down at the mirror, then goes up along the windshield and across top of the door. For an FRC only, not a vert or coupe. I also linked the metal strips with foam backings that go across the top of the door to hold in the plastic pieces and hold in the foam rubber seals. Again, FRC roof only. I linked left and right for each part.
If you change one and not the other you might be able to get it sealed with enough caulking, but replacing both makes the job easier, neater, and easier to seal.
My A pillar/roof reveal is cracked just like your's in the picture. It is a common problem. I may repair one day, but if it happened, and same material, and common, I feel it will happen again. I wish someone would make out of a new material.
