Default Doubled engine cover color choice, Help please!!

I've decided to get one of his painted fiberglass engine covers with the carbon fiber inlay for my 2004 yellow Z06. They are very nice but also pricey so it's not like I can just switch it out if I find another color may look better. So, the wife suggested I seek input from the place I find the rest of my vette answers. My question...I originally thought I'd get a red one in keeping with the red color of fuel rail covers for a Z06. But then thought, since it's a completely different cover, maybe it'd be better to get a yellow one...I'm stuck now. Do you guys have any suggestions, or pics of either one in a yellow car? It's going to look good either way because they are beautiful covers with nice craftsmanship, I'm just hoping someone will say or show me something that helps in the decision. Thanks for any help you guys offer.

I like to follow whatever the theme is for the car !!!! Mine is silver so I painted my water tanks silver !!! My theme is blacking out different things on the car so black is also an option !!!! Red seems to blend anywhere !!!

Very nice looking car! Looks like red has 2 votes so far. Do you have a link for those conical decorative washers you used? What size are they? Thank you.

Here's my thoughts - either yellow or red would look very good in the engine bay. What color is your interior - do you have a mod red one? If so, red would be my choice. If black, I'd go with the yellow to tie in the exterior color to the engine bay. Here's a pic of mine - I went with an Electron Blue theme with some red splashed in to give it a bolder statement.

I'm going to be the other person. My vote would be for the yeller. I think with the black parts already under the hood that the yeller would POP more then the red. And with the carbon middle it would look killer. I'm all about being a little different though.

Im going to do some other things to tie it together like...brushed caps with catbon fiber insets, brushed hood pistons, already have a cai (for vanity only) with red filters, yellow optima battery installed. So as you guts can see, it can go both ways.

As always, thank you for the replys, pics, and suggestions. Vettemanjack, I have black interior...so your vote would be yellow. I appreciate your qualifiers in your well thought response...thank again!

I think yellow would look great with the exposed carbon fiber. I did quick silver with exposed carbon. My car is black. My car is accented with silver fender stripes and wheels. I will put some suttle accents of red in the engine bay the same as my C6Z06 brakes give the outside a hint of red. These covers are carbon fiber and fit great. I will be adding smooth quick silver washer and coolent tank covers, radiator shroud and air bridge. Inner fender well covers will be carbon fiber to offset with the other carbon accents. If you want to see a beautiful colormatched engine bay look for James Williams red Evil Z.

Yellow 100%. In my opinion red does NOT go well with yellow unless you like a Ronald McDonald car.

Interesting to note, several calling for yellow, why is it ALL the pics are showing red accents and NO yellow accents in sight?

Thank you for those pics. They look nice enough for me to consider silver...sort of. The caps you have also give me an idea what they will look like on mine. Although I'm no closer to really making a decision, I have a lot more information to consider. Now, with such a nice looking car, would you mind putting the missing cap/cover thingy on your wiper arm...just so I can concentrate on your nice engine bay again...thank you everyone...

Had to order new wiper caps. Had the wiper cowl off before I took the pics. Going to go with a carbon fiber wiper cowl as well.

No engine covers here,,they look nice but they act like a blanket and hold the heat in the intake area/engine,,,not good imho. My car runs cooler with out any covers at allOh yeah,, RED on the engine bay color of choice.
