Noob Vette owner question
OK...Being I have only Owned my 02 Vette a Week bear with me...LOL...
Center Console....I noticed it does not just open...mine only opens about half way then stops...of course I did not want to break it..so I took my time...I noticed you have to kinda pull the hinge up then open....for it to open all the way.....Strange....Is this normal....???

This is not a plain vanilla hinge. It is a 3-axis design, so it's good you didn't force it. Apply some lube to it and carefully work it back and forth, and it may be just what it needs
This might be of help (Oiling Points) .

It will open half way then you have to pull it towards you to open the rest of the way. Be gentle the first few times and apply some lube.

When you open the lid, just pull it slightly TOWARDS you, while continuing to raise the lid the rest of the way.

If your e-brake handle goes up pretty high there can be a little interference, though.

Normal.
I remember when I first gotta C5...I tried to open it, only to find out it barely opens, I thought something was wrong with it. I wasn't impressed with the way it opened or how shallow it was lol oh well.

Mine has always worked like this:
Opens half way, then with a small nudge pulling toward the passenger side, it opens fully.
Nothing about pulling it toward the driver's side.
