Default OEM Valve Stem Caps

You'd think it would be easy to find what I want, but I've spent fifteen minutes here and on Google and no luck.

I ZO6 wheels which came with the Coupe when I bought it. Love them, and recently scored the correct ZO6 lug caps.

So where can I find a link or part number for the OEM valve stem caps?

Right now I've got some chromed metal caps on there. Good quality, but chrome caps on painted wheels seems crap.

I'd like to find ZO6 OEM or just OEM C5 caps. I remember my first C5 (2000 blk/blk m6 coupe w/ polished wheels) having a decent neutral colored set, and those would be fine too.

I have seen OEM caps there were metal. Yours metal or plastic?

These are about as close as you'll get to OEM Caps....

Your dealer should be able to get them for you, or contact Marc at VetteNuts and I'd bet he has some laying around.

Try 10268440.

I THINK those are the light gray plastic ones (slightly pointed on the end) made by Schrader, but double check to be sure.

I think there are several different versions of caps depending on what specific wheel, what year, etc, etc, but I've heard (and it makes perfect sense) that the plastic ones are least likely to interfere or shorten the range of the TPMS transmitters, as the valve stem itself is the antenna.

My 01 OEM valve caps were aluminum, when I replaced my wheel sensors they also came with aluminum caps.

My '98 came with the "pointed" plastic caps. Still have them....

Best caps I ever had were NATO spec at the time for light trucks - metal, with a rubber ring inside that provided a secondary seal should the valve fail (do not ask me where I got them).

Stolen from my car by some low life who apparently had a fetish for metal valve caps, when most were still plastic..

just go to your local parts store and grab a set... there is nothing corvette specific about them, it's just a valve stem cap
