Which Fluids to Change??
So far the GM dealer has been very good to me with questions and requests for the 1999 C5 I am buying. I told the dealer I wanted the fluids changed and they said OK.
Which fluids/filters should I tell them I want changed??

If they cannot prove recent changes and are agreeing to changing fluids, then I'd want the following changed:
Brake
Clutch (if a manual transmission)
Transmission
Power steering
Rear Differential
Coolant
Oil

x2
And make sure they are the correct fluids too. The 97-00 requires a specific type of transmission fluid.

That pretty much covers it - have them change all the fluids. That way you know at least the fluids are OK.

If you have to prioritize, the tougher ones to change are
coolant
PS fluid
clutch
The others are very easy to do yourself

Pre 2001 M6 use non synthetic trans fluid, or the amsoil stuff. There is like 11ty billion threads on this subject.. Google search will net great results.. Lots of times the dealership goobers are clueless..
