Default fuel door actuator connector

Hi,
Does know what connector the c5 uses on for the fuel door actuator ? I want to fabricate a locking fuel door for my Monte Carlo using an actuator from a c5 but i'm not sure what connector type it uses. If anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for any help,
Scott

It is Delphi P/N 12064749

2 Way F Metri Pack (meaning female)

480 Series

Black

In the C5 the wiring is 1.0 mm2 or 16 gauge, you may use something larger.

You will be needing 2 female terminals and the 2 Way Lock to retain them. The connector does not come with them.

Remember the solenoid uses a diode so polarity is important. Here is the connector view. Just scroll down to it.

If you have trouble locating the connector, lock, and terminals let me know.

An alternative might be to contact Marc at VetteNuts.net and see if he would sell one to you. He is a great Forum vendor here.

Thanks Mr Sam, you've been very helpful.
I'll try to find a source for the connector, lock and terminals. I did find a seller on ebay that would include the connector with the actuator, so I may just go that route.

I have a few more questions.
On the c5 corvette, is the actuator located in the trunk area or in the fender above the splash guard ? I saw that on the c6 it's in the trunk area, but the cable looks longer than that of the c5.
What type of switch does the corvette use for the actuator, a rocker similar to that of a door actuator?

I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row. When I get the actuator installed and working I'll definitely follow up.

In the fender but access requires going into the fender and access via the truck to remove.

You must use a MONENTARY switch like a push button one so it does not stay energized.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Mr. Sam
Webster's revised Corvette Edition defines a "MONENTARY switch" as; A push button switch that energizes a circuit only when pressed and can be purchased with ordinary money. (usually a lot of ordinary money)

Very inexpensive as in a few dollars at Radio Shack IF you don't tell them it is for a Corvette.
