What's your preference? Automatic tranny or 6 speed stick

Even though the new autos are much improved it's hard to beat the feel of a good stick shift [unless stuck in traffic].

Our minivans all came with autos. In other words love a stick in my cars.

Corvettes came stock with an auto..believe it is a $180- option to upgrade to a MN6, that should answer your silly question.

For me if it doesn't have three pedals it isn't a car.

Have had two 6 speed C5s and now have an A4 C5. I can have just as much fun driving with either transmission.

Have had a couple so far an 04 Zo6, and an 05 base model with z51 pkg, both were fun!
Currently have an 03 convertible auto. They are all good!
Hmm, starting to look at Z06's again!
Oh well life is short, enjoy!

I had a 6 speed '01 and now the A4 50th Anniversary Edition. More fun and better gas mileage by 3+ mpg with the stick---not so much fun with a bumper to bumper 8 mile back up. I'll take either one that you don't want.

Manual makes the car, at least in the C5 world since the 4L60 is garbage in a sports car.
Some of the newer cars make a great case for DCT though, if you can consider those to be "automatic".

Has to have a third pedal!
My wife and I feel the same way. Mine is a daily driver and I drive it every day rain or shine, in rush hour traffic which during the snow bird season is pretty heavy here in SW Florida, to the store or just cruising to the beach. Anyway, I don't see the point in owning a Corvette or any Sports car or Muscle car with an auto trans. I made the mistake of buying a couple of Corvettes with an auto trans in the past because they were good deals with low miles but I sold them very soon afterwards.
