Well The Driver Seat is Got the sunk in foam of the left side...they had to replace the control bezel on it when i bought it..because now it's at the point your sitting down right on the frame of it...either repair and replace the foam or buy a new set..they made me a good deal..so went that direction..other then that they are fine and in working order...
You can always sell the seats or keep them in case you want to go back to original. The foam on mine are bad like yours. LOL... maybe I should bit the bullet
If you drive these cars how they are intended, these seats make life very difficult. I use half my energy bracing. So glad to see C7 finally come out with a seat that holds you.
I have fix backed race seats with 6 point harnesses which are great for roadcourses but have considered going to the A4 as a dual purpose seat with more comfort. I use my seat belts for city driving and only use the harness for track use. Does anyone in this thread drive autocross or HPDE's with the A4's and how do they feel compared to fixed back seats? It seems if using harness for track use the A4 would still be more than adequate to holding me firmly in place. Comments?
Just Ordered a Set of Corbeau A4's for the Vette....Christmas to Myself....
Did you get the lumbar bags and the one-inch chop? I like mine but the chop was done by wacking away at the seat foam and I would up having both 'fixed' by the guy doing the interior on my Dad's '51 Jag.
Just be careful getting them in and out - I put scratches in the door sill and a ding in the door panel (luckily in a spot you can't see once the door is closed).
Be sure to check the fit of the mounting plates to the floor studs and the alignment of the bolt holes in the bottom of the seat, to the sliders, before fully assembling the seats. Corbeau is known for being rather inaccurate in their hole placement. I had to "rat" several holes out, to make things fit, when I installed mine. If you try "cheating" by forcing a fit, it can bind the sliders up.
