Default Trouble with on line orders

Anyone had trouble getting orders from on line vendors. I ordered some parts the 8th of NOV and have just been informed the parts won't be shipped until the 7th of JAN. That seems a bit long. The orders are from Ecklers Corvette. Anyone else had any trouble with them recently?

ive had the same issues, as long as they keep in touch with you I wouldn't worry about it

Most of the companies don't stock these items theya re 3rd party vendors, so theres a delay somewhere along the line

(EDIT)I waited more then 1 month for my harmonic balancer/arp bolt/ gatorback belt order

Using the facts and the dates above as correct, something to think about before ordering again from them.

Thank you for the input. Patience is the name of the game...I guess.

man it seems like something goes wrong every time I order parts for my car... it either says it's in stock and it really isn't so I have to wait longer, I get sent the wrong/missing parts, the shipping company screws up and doesn't do their job, etc... nothing against ecklers specifically as I have never ordered from them, I'm just speaking in general... but on the other hand there are a handful of very good vendors that I have dealt with over the years that will stand by their word and if any of them have what I am looking for I don't mind spending a little more with them to save me the trouble

I'm having to wait. I am ready to cancel. I am not comfortable giving out my info and not knowing the part was not in stock.

I guess it depends on what you order and when. I ordered a part from Eckler's on line Sunday. Received shipping info on Monday and part passed thru Orlando last night. I guess they have to depend on their vendor's as well.

Feels like two steps back....

Other online vendors shipping is much more advanced not putting the burden on the customer knowing if they will receive their items.

I'm disappointed.

Most of these Corvette suppliers obtain their parts from common vendors themselves-- so if the company that makes a part is relying on a slow boat from China- they're all in the same boat.

If you can find a different vendor that has the part you want in stock and will ship it tomorrow- I'd cancel and buy from the other guy . . . .

Ordered a part from Ecklers back in November. Had it in a little over a week. As mentioned, not all the parts in the catalogs are carried in stock and are shipped from the manufacturer, thus causing a bit of a delay. If you can wait for the parts (within reason) and as long as the vendor keeps you informed, I'd say it's OK.

I have ordered parts for my 911 and C5. Never had a problem.
