I knew my slave cylinder was going bad ( started to leak) ,but I just wanted to drive the vette for a little while because it was just too damn nice outside. Got about a mile from home and started hearing this loud noise coming from underneath the car. So I nursed it home and while it was running I tried to pin point where the noise was coming from. Got the car up on jack stands and started to remove the exhaust system. Got to the inspection cover and notice a small piece of metal sticking out.
Damn never a good thing. I just replaced my clutch over the summer. Its not to bad, the only issues i had was getting the pilot bearing out and lining up the torque tube to the bell housing. other than that its pretty straight forward
The clutch went bye bye.
