I have a 2003 Zo6 that I took to a body shop to have the plastic frame above driver side door to get fixed. Well the idiots cracked the piece as they tried to do a quick fix and just push it back in (didn't work as it is now broken and still not flush with car). Can anyone help me on where I can get a replacement part for this or what the part is called. The body shop claims to have spoken to their GM dealer and says the part is $700.
And does anyone have any idea on why the piece came out of place like this:
2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (performance mods)
C5 of Year Winner (performance mods) 2019
in my opinion if they broke it trying to fix it it's on their dime no matter how much the part costs... if I'm looking up the correct part it appears to be # 10331563 and is a little under $300

sounds like you're gonna have to fight with them on it, I would anyway... you were paying them to repair it not break it... their negligence so they pay for the part and labor should be on you which should be less than the part, that's probably why they are trying to make you pay for it so they are out less money

I can't offer any suggestions on where to buy the replacement piece but I believe it's a common problem for that trim piece to have that gap. Mine is the same way, on both sides actually
I too would see if VetteNuts has one in stock. Other than that, try a place like Cultrag Performance for a new OEM piece.
Thank you very much for the referral. I know Marc does an awesome job on pre-owned parts but I would never buy one that is not new since all of the old pieces crack. The new are expensive, but worth it!
