I didn't put it in my previous reply, but I actually received this very ultimatum from a wife many years ago in regard to my L-88 spec big-block powered '55 Chevy. I had already been forced by her a few years earlier to sell it for family reasons and had bought it back when the crisis was over. She had said that I had gone without a toy and had been good about it for quite a while afterward and so if I wanted to get another toy, that would be okay with her. I told her that I did not want another toy, I wanted my '55 back as I had never wanted to get rid of it in the first place!! I was lucky enough to be able to do so, so when she gave me the ultimatum again...............Well, let's just say that she has been an EX-wife for many, many years now!! Then, admittedly, just for spite, I did sell it and bought a Harley Low Rider. I was working at a Harley dealership at the time.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Wasn't gonna go there!!!!

I've never understood why some women seem to do this. I guess it's one thing if you've fallen on hard times and need the cash to help your own family, but besides that? I guess what really bugs me is the "you've been good, so you can get another one" like they need to give permission for it to be okay. Ugh.
Guess I lucked out because my woman was the opposite and essentially pushed me to buy my 'Vette... in her words "I was sick and tired of hearing you go on and on and on about how amazing they were and which ones were for sale. Just buy the darn thing and be done with it so we can move on with our lives!" And now she enjoys rides in it too
When I first bought my Z06, I spent a lot of time on this forum trying to learn - and it probably was too much. It pissed my wife off, mostly because she wasn't that happy about the new purchase. So she would yell from downstairs - "WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE?!!!!" . I would say I was looking at ****, to which she would reply - "As long as you are not on that damn forum!"

We should have a drink together and talk about the awesome cars that somehow got away and how truly great they were!!
