I rented a C7 for a couple of days while on a business trip. It was a nice corvette fix for me as my car is put away for the winter. Beautiful car, really enjoyed driving it. Had it for 3 days went through a tank of gas and a lot of smiles.
I did similar back in April. I rented one for 3 days from Avis at the PHX airport, and took my Dad on a trip up though the mountains. We both POUNDED on that car. We put about 800 miles on the front tires, and an estimated 3500 on the rears.
It's a great car, but I'm not ready to throw rocks at my C5 yet, especially since I'm pushing more HP.

In stock form they are still lacking visually for me, but a nice drop with some aggressive wheels and your king
I can actually agree with you here. One of my neighbors just bought a C7Z and it looks pretty striking. The wide body and aero package really make the car appear aggressive.
My only real problem with the C7 is that they haven't depreciated enough yet for me. I like buying cars that won't lose a ton of value during my ownership. I guess I'm just cheap

Yea its gonna be 3-4-5 years before I can even consider looking into one.
I find 10 years to be the sweet spot, they are still new enough to be cool and relevant, but have depreciated enough to where you can find a great deal and come out without losing much.
Im still waiting for my dream car to come down a bit further, they drop like crazy every year , im hoping in the next 1-2 years I can score a deal.
It wasn't to crazy price wise to rent for a few days. $80.00 per day it was like $330 by the time taxes and prepay for gas was figured in. I really wanted to drive one and thought it was a great time to do so. I rented it from Alamo. Hopefully my expense report goes through without any problems!

Our National car rental agreement has a fixed price for emerald isle at $39.99/day. So $80/day would definitely be getting kicked back at my place of work.

Still worth it though.
I've just split the difference when returning, and put it on the balance on my personal card. No issues.
