So my 2000 C5 has a clutch issue. A couple days ago the pedal would return slowly at first, then barely at all. I had to manually lift to shift gears. I started off trying to replace the fluid Using the ranger method. Did this over a couple of days with driving to and from work. No real progress. I then read somewhere that removing the spring above the pedal has worked for others. I was surprised to find this (see photos). In your expert opinions, what is the best way to resolve this issue? I started by cleaning all the corrosion while sobbing into a beer! Thank you in advance.
I agree, I just replaced mine. Not to bad of a job. The stock master cylinder comes with fluid in it a pre-bled. You will need a special tool to disconnect the hydraulic line. They sell them at auto parts stores.
