Its just that the wheel was wet and I missed some of the crud when I wiped it off for the picture. You got an eagle eye ! Haha

Guys:
I just checked my wheels when I got home. They are fine. No cracks. It just was some residue I must have missed when I wiped them off for the picture.
Thanks for the concern !

Finished my last wheel...
Now its just going to be regular upkeep
Got more of the good stuff too !
320 grit sanding on my inner barrel to remove the forging lines.
Fully polished now !

Your Opinon
Hi,
I bought wheels from CCW, they came to me the same way. I'm a little OCD as well, that being said, do you think there quality control needs to be accountable for sending out wheels that way?
Thank you,
Bill

I don't know really.... everyone likes something different.
I would have preferred them smooth when new.
Not sure if everyone would though.
If you don't then you can always sand them like I did....

I thought I had posted some kudo's in this thread....I thought we talked about me using, 50,000 grit diamond polishing paste... There is either another thread, or I am going crazy.
IN any event these wheels don't get any better...Nice work Togue !
My 14 year old 80,000 mile CCW 505's on the left and my New larger sized CCW 505 on the right.

I'm not sure I know what your referring to, about an earlier post, so if you have a moment, and you care to respond to my question, I would appreciate it. Can you please talk a little bit about 50,000 grit diamond polishing paste. who makes it, where to buy, how to use and how to maintain my wheels to look as great as yours, or refer me to the post that you referred to earlier. I don't mind doing the work, if the satisfaction would follow. Even though I'm getting a little older, you tend to look for things a little easier to tackle. As you can see from my post I reached that point.
Thank you
