I thought the same... air intake.
Well this is the first of this type of inquiry so I'll throw it out there. Although a Vararam might be favored by many I don't like the idea of potential water ingestion and the poor fitment rep.
The Honker and flip tie suck air from the front of the rad; not ideal IMO.
I personally think any of the Blackwing, K&N, Halltech are all more than fine. Buy used if you can. I bought a used K&N for $150 IIRC.
