Hey guys I haven't posted in awhile but I have a very bad virberation in my car . It's a 99 c5 six speed manual. I recently put in a clutch throw out bearing ,new bushing,in the torque tube and and used transmission. Now I was having this vibration before the transmission went out. I thought it was the clutch so I replaced most of it .i didn't replace the flywheel.now if I rev the car in neutral it sounds like something is grinding and take off in first and second it's bad . Anyone have this problem.please don't respond with negative comments I'm just trying to fix my car . Thanks

have you already taken the driveline apart again? You'll have to in order to inspect propshaft couplings.
If you haven't torn anything apart yet, there are some simple diagnostics you can do in order to try to isolate the causes.
Get in the car, stationary and not moving, with the engine running. Put the shifter in Neutral. Are you feeling/hearing "vibrations" or buzzing, or do you actually hear something "grinding". If you are feeling vibrations/buzzing, then put your hand lightly on the shifter, rev the engine until you reach a steady RPM where the vibration is the worst. Once you have it there, push the clutch pedal IN, disengaging the clutch. Does the vibration or buzzing go away? IF NO, then you very likely have a balance issue with the clutch assembly, including FW. IF YES, the vibrations change or go away when you disengage the clutch, you likely have a problem "back" of the clutch. Like propshaft couplings (which people sometimes call torque tube bearings/couplings/bushings).
Try this test and see what happens. It can give you insight as to what to look for, before you just tear it back down.
Hey guys thanks again for your help with my virberation issue. Yep it's the torque tube bushing so I'm going to have all new parts put in
How did you end up diagnosing. To determine it's the bushing, it all must have been torn back down and apart. Just curious, did you do the above "test" before tear down?
