It seems like GM is working on a mid-engine something or other. I've been in the Corvette world on and off for a long time. I've heard the mid-engine rumors going back to 1970 when one of the major mags, Car & Driver or Motor Trend, urged everyone to buy the left over 69's because the end of the front engine Vette was at hand. There've been several other predictions over the years. But this time, it's pretty intense including the lack of denial by the president of Cadillac division. IMHO, apparently something may be coming down the supply pipe, but there's no guarantee it's a Vette. It might be expensive and a Cadillac. We should know more at the bash at the end of April.
I've seen the movie. The correct answer is "Soon".
OK, what did I win?
Lol. At least someone got it.
My only concern is that if/when a true mid-engine corvette arrives, will it have mid-engine pricing? Also, like a lot of mid-engine cars, will most diy's start with "step one: remove engine..."?

You got that right. I had a second Gen MR2 back in the day. Even a simple belt change was a hassle. When I had to change the timing belt that was a completely new kind of love song.

I thought I had read somewhere by 2018 the vette was to have a mid engine and expensive but the front engine vette was also to be available for less money ???????
