I actually ended up calling it a night in Tucumcari, NM after about 8hrs, and drove in the remaining ~6hrs the next morning. I had high hopes of driving it all the way through but after two flights (Phoenix - Houston - Dallas) and not getting out of the dealership until ~2:00 I didn't have it in me lol. The car drove great and was good at highway cruising...my only issue was some lower back soreness after a while (acted up about 5hrs into day 2 as well) probably just the shape of my back mixed with the older C5 seats / lumbar area. I'm 30 years old and can usually pull off 14hr road trips in one day (SO many trips from SW Colorado to Manhattan, KS and vice versa for College)... but apparently I'm losing my edge in my old age

Ha yeah I'm sorry- I think i'm still in the shock that the 20s are gone and my 21 month old daughter runs me into the ground (a good thing) so I end up feeling old and broken when i'm supposed to be in my prime!

For the pull key and wait 10 seconds message keep in mind it could be a low voltage battery issue. I know when I don't drive mine for awhile it gives the same message. When I drive it regularly no message is displayed.

Yeah I need to get this battery checked soon. Makes sense that it acts up when cold as well- did it again yesterday and it had even been on the tender :/

On the bright side... My polisher and Meguiars 105, 205 and sealer worked wonders on the car's poor finish. Sitting out in the SW Texas sun for the last 15 years had taken a real toll...

That color is really really going to grow on you.
NB is one of the finest colors ever on a vette.

You did a nice job with the polisher. The after pics make it look almost new.
