Do you have a specific date set when to get your Vette out of hibernation? I am hoping the middle of March, March can be pretty nasty weather also, and i just received my new Corsa exhaust, won't be able to get it installed till weather is better and roads are somewhat clear of salt.. Any who it breaks my heart to not be able to drive my Vette.. Pup
Mine's be sitting for 8 weeks, just took it out for a 20mi trip to the body shop to get the head light covers and hood painted from 12 years of bumps, bruises and rock chips.
I waited for a dry day, but man, the dust clouds on the interstate from the salt was wicked.
Should be done in next day or two, now I have to pick a dry day to get it back to hibernation. Any 50F day in March and she's coming out for a spin with the top down !!
I've been itching to sneak mine out of it's bubble on some of these mild winter days we have had but will wait till mid-late March at the earliest. Takes awhile for the sand to be swept up and washed away from the roads in NE so must be patient. Come April 1st its gonna get driven, has to! I will play sand and pothole dodge if I must.
Soon as it is consistently around 40*F here and I live in Madison Wisconsin.
Why? Salt isn't really a thing since very little can rust on a vette. My thing is the roads are so cold any blip of the throttle is fish tailing even when TC is on and ice in the shade when it is around 35*f.
I am hoping the weather gypsies are right and the upper midwest will be well above normal the next 3 months!

We hit over 7C (45F) here in Kelowna BC yesterday, but I doubt that will continue. My storage insurance and winter car insurance run out the end of March; sure hope it's on the road far ahead of that.
