Default Campfire

While most of the country was freezing, the Corvette Club of Marion County Florida(ccmcfl.com) had a get together on Jan. 16 at night.
The club provided hamburgers, hotdogs and s'mores. The members the side dishes. There was no wind so no cars got scorched. There are 43 cars around the fire.
It's Great to own a Corvette in Florida.

Given the weather for most of us this past week.......that is just seriously cruel bragging!!! Come back and brag again from Florida in July or August!!!

Just yankin' your chain, looks like it was a really good time. I have dreamed of living in Florida on the coast somewhere for many years. I am soooooooo sick and tired of mountains!!!! You can't swim in a mountain....you can't surf on a mountain (skiing doesn't count as it costs hundreds of bucks to get hauled up the mountain, you can't just paddle out and wait for your wave!!) Many other ways in which a mountain just doesn't measure up.....don't get me started!!!

My parents lived in Jacksonville for a few years but my step-dad said that wasn't really Florida, it was just southern Georgia!!

Only got to visit them there one time, in the winter. The weather was great, but not as warm as I expected. Still beat the heck out of a half-dozen inches of snow!! However, just what the heck is that stuff that they call grass there?!?!?!? That is not grass, that is some kind of domesticated weed that you have to mow regularly!! Roll around on a lawn there and you'll get up with a million little razor cuts on your arms and legs!! However, I LOVE Palm trees!!!!!

Lived 8 years in Florida (Ft Pierce and Ft Lauderdale) driving my first Vette a '64 vert and loved every minute. Then lived 3 years in Baton Rouge with my 72 T top and also loved it. Now stuck in MD, snow country, for the grand kids and remembering.
