Default Front end frame protection

Sorry for having to ask about this, but I can't remember where I saw it. Someone makes a kit to protect the metal framework just behind the front end. If I remember correctly, it wraps around the metal and bolts on. I need something to protect my car from my very steep driveway. Thanks. (2004 convertible)

After trying all the wheel things without much success I went with these fangs and am quite happy with them.

That's what I got.
They are not as good looking as the fangs, but my car isn't for show and no one really sees them much anyway.. I painted them black so they weren't so noticeable.

I have the fangs from saccity on my car and I like them, granted I don’t scrape the front end of my car though... be careful with the vendor that sells the metal ones, I've read a lot of bad things about them

IIRC, Ecklers was the first on the market with those metal ones. They are sold by others as well I think, maybe Mid America too. (mamotorworks)

I bought the ones like you have and they're on their way. I wish there was something I could do about my driveway, unfortunately, there's not. My front end is going to scrape going out. Coming back in, I can manage not to drag.

If you try to drive in or out at an angle it won't scrape quite as much.

I feel your pain, mine scrapes in and out of my driveway and on any number of entrances/exits to the street from parking lots. I decided I'm just going to buy a whole new air dam and replace it when I move out of San Diego

You're right and that's what I do (at least as much as I can). It's impossible not to scrape going down hill (out), but coming back, I wait until there's no traffic in the left lane, move over into it, and then start my turn up the hill. Somehow, I seem to be able to make that work.

Got my fangs in white to match the car. They work well but I mostly scrape the air dam, and more now since I lowered it but it's no big deal since air dam is spring loaded.
