Default Targa in hatch pics?

Does anyone have a pic of the targa secured in the hatch area? Does it require a bag/strap system like a jeep? Or does it lock in to existing hatch area harware like a ls1 Z28 T top?
No idea how this works...

Unless someone has removed them (they will rotate and unlatch), there are two half-round, sort of clam shell looking things in the floor of your hatch area. The two pins from the back edge of your top fit in them and the front edge of the top drops against the top edge of the rear wall at the back of the rear area. There are two pins that fit into the front edge of the top that are retractable like a slide latch. When they are extended into the front of your top, it is secured in place and will not become a projectile in an emergency stop or collision situation. Basically, the top goes in the back of your car back edge first, from the rear.

I hope that makes sense!?!?! I promise, that is how it works.

This is a good explanation - at least to me.

Thanks for the excellent explanation! It saved me from asking what those sliding pins at the back of the cargo area are for. I also happen to be missing one of the pins. Anyone got the part number for that?

No owners manual here...
Thanks for the intel.
I do have the clams, and I suspected they played a role based on my experience with the Z28 T Tops. I will have to look for the pins.
Does it mount with the top exterior surface up? Or the headliner side showing up?

It stores in the rear with the exterior surface up.

Exterior surface up. By the way, until you get the parts for the slide latch that you are missing, one latch should hold it sufficiently, at least temporarily.

Lots of fun with the top off! I would think one pin should hold it securely. I would replace the missing one but you should still be able to enjoy it in the meantime.

Google search returned surprisingly few pictures. Here's one, not the greatest coz the roof is in a cover, but it shows you the position and orientation:

Attached is the relevant pages from the manual.
