Here's my problem guys. Since the end of summer my vert oil pressure gauges started messing around. When I start it, both, the analog n digital gauges won't come alive for the first 30 or so seconds, the cars doesn't sound starved for oil. Once the gauges come up they both read the same pressure acording how I'm driving at the moment. I already changed the sensor unit but the problem still there. The car starts fine so there is compression on the engine. The other thing she had done couple time is that on hard acceleration on third gear she makes some valve noise, if I do it on increments she won't. This is scary because I'm worried the oil pressure might drop and the engine go boom. I don't know if there is a way to test the oil pump and the only way to check the oil pickup line is to drop the oil pan.
Anyway, I'm checking with the mechanic this week but wanted to heard some opinion from you guys. I might be missing something here, I'm pretty handy with tools and liked to do my own repairs when ever I can.
Thanks for your outputs and have fun watching the Super Bowl, drive safe.
in the drivers side lower of the engine block there is a plug for the oil galley, install a mechanical gauge there and see what your pressures are ???????
