I just finish my header install on my 01 Z06. I am mechanically inclined but by no means a top shelf mechanic and I was very worried about tearing into my baby this deep.with the Ls1 tech guide and a call to Tsp, everything went smooth. The ls1 Tech guide and the hundreds of posts that I read made the job seem much harder than it actually was. The passenger side just required a couple of twists and push and fell right in and the drivers side, which I was most worried about, I just cocked the header downward in the rear so as to push the forward end up from underneath and went right into place.xpipe slide rite into place and bolted rite up to my Obx catbacks,no cutting.I read lots of posts about some not noticing any hp gains or sotp effect.well i dont know what setup they had or what they did wrong but i do know that my Z has never went sideways in 4th gear at 80mph so easily! And the sound is awesome! Going for tune tomorrow and definately ordering a new set of sticky tires.
My TSP headers started bad; severely warped flanges. After getting them milled the installation went pretty smooth, much like you.
Apart from the warped flanges, my main issue is the collectors; one is OK, the other hangs low and points up more. I've seen others post here with the same. Never bottomed out, but my car is not lowered.
Had my Z MO tuned by TSP. Very happy with the performance (and sound) improvement.
