Yes, you can use that fuel system cleaner in your car. And I agree with E-T, not really cost effective to turn a coupe to an FRC but it's your money.

You are confusing Hate with honesty. I said its not cost effective... he came here ASKING questions, and not to be stroked by someone .
? <------ this is a question mark he placed at the end of his questions.
If people want sugar coating, there is plenty of it to be had here in this forum.

Ive always been ballsy enough to be honest... IM an old guy with a lot of experience... I look at these two questions as if they were asked by my Son.

I certainly do not hate him, or anyone who I try to help. I would not want my Son to throw away his time and money on an ill conceived idea. I would not sugar coat it by saying things like its his car let him do what he wants... I would not want to see my Son make this mistake, and I would not want to see this newbie here do the same thing..

Hate??? hardly..
Maybe when you bring a ridiculous idea ( like this one ) to the forum other will encourage you to make poor decisions, so you could waste your money and time. IM the guy you can go to to ask question and get real answers and not someone to sugar coat an idea, just to be a nice guy. If its a good idea , I will be the first to say so... You see... here in this forum, there are too many construction workers, bankers, retail clerks, etc. who like to play engineer. They give advice and don't care about the consequences of their actions. With me its always an honest assessment. That doesn't mean that you are always going to like what I have to say.
I don't hate anyone... well maybe just you
<joke>

I didn't see hate at all. I don't really believe the OP understood/understands the complexity it is going to take to modify his car. ET just gave a few things to look at and consider in trying to attempt this. To add to that, the COST of it all. Ive been in downtown Kuwait and even though SOME things can be had for cheap, THIS project would not be one to take lightly and would need to be done correct or his "dream car" will become a hellish nightmare with cost closer to $40k all said and done. And that's if all the work can all be done in a centralized location without having to ship his car here or there.

I think you need to go check your brain at the doc for Alzheimer grandpa for saying there is no such thing as 107.6F or 118.4 , these info are from Wikipedia, and I think your hate at me for saying I have a fat wallet is because probably you spend 20 years or something saving money to buy a C5 you and other 90% of members in this forums, while I bought one just after I got my driving license out, and I don't really care it's just a corvette, I got a e55 amg and other cars I care about more than this one, I know most americans are poor but hey it's not my problem, chow.

Guess you are unaware that Evil Twin played a big role in DESIGNING the C5. If ANYONE could tell you what would need done, he is the best candidate on this forum to do so. You took his advice personally when you should've looked at the facts that were clearly stated to you. I even threw in a little advice myself. Take it or leave it.

As another “gray” owner of a C5, I suspect ET (although I may be wrong) would not use the same tone and approach if he was setting across the table from the OP answering his questions. Just because I am gray and old does not mean I should not respond forcibly when someone does not have a clue what he/she is talking about, nor does it mean I should answer the person in a manner that is disrespectful. Just my .02 worth. Is it cocktail time yet?????

I don't get it. If there is such a "fat wallet" why would a C5 even be an option. If money were no issue, my *** would be in a Bugati Veyron, Koineseeeeeeeegggggggg 1:one or Mclaren P1 or something like them.

The gas question could be a legit question, but as soon as he became butt hurt on the second question, it lost all validity.

Thanks ET for giving reasonable, honest feedback.

BTW I am no where near a Gray owner.

While the op's motivation seemed a bit vague, this is not hard or that expensive if the parts are available from a salvaged frc, a good body man could do this easily without compromising the car so if labor was cheap for someone it's doable and I predict it will be more common as less frc are available in the future. It's not like cutting off the roof of a 80s sedan to make a vert and the car has no structural integrity. Remember all the c5 were designed from the vert!
And I'm NOT supporting the op's final response I've always recommended to anyone.... if you don't get the answer you need ask in another way, don't insult the people who you are asking free advice from and don't be upset if they give you more than you asked for just use what you can and leave the rest!
