Sound after fast intake.

Sound after fast intake.
2000 sounds like a diesel. Didn't hear a noise with the ls1 intake.
I have read some threads say it is normal due to the flat bottom and noise reduction stuff gone but man its annoying lol..

IME a different intake, all other things remaining, shouldn't create any extra noise...

Perhaps my question would be better off elsewhere so I apologize, but seeing as this is current I'll ask it. If everything else is stock, what benefits would a Fast intake provide?
