Learned a couple of things recently !
I've been on the forum for over 10 years and I'm pretty good with Internet searches, but these two things eluded me for years.
WHEEL HOP ! I've researched this problem to death and just thought I would have to live with it. Did the upgrade to C6 Z51 sway bars and shocks (awesome upgrade by the way) that seemed to help a little. Another forum member (sorry I forgot who) suggested dropping tire pressure to the 28lb range. Well my wheel hop is gone !
KEY FOB SYNC ! I have a 97 coupe with the early key fobs. I've always read that if you lose sync just hold the two buttons on the fob and it will resync. Well me and a lot of other forum members called BS on this because what would stop anybody from just walking up with a fob and syncing it to your car........... Well after years of going through the process of relearning my fob with the DIC method , I tried just holding the two buttons. It worked !!! Now I feel stupid for not trying it sooner. I guess when your car learns the fob it must store a serial number , then you can do the quick sync.
