Before I got a Vette, people went about their day as if I were invisible.
Went to fill up today and at the gas station 3 people came over while I was filling the tank and talked, talked, talked. Later I was Wally World (Walmart) and 4 different people commented and wanted to talk Vette,
I'm new to this Vette thing (as if you couldn't tell) but it just amazes me how this Vette thing works. Enjoying every minute of it.
Thanks guys
No they don't spin (lol)
Yea different strokes man
Haters gonna hate
They came on the car and I kinda' like em'
I've got thick skin so no problems with the hazing, I take it as part of being a newbie and being part of the forum. Besides everyone here had 11 post at one time or other.
This is what a smart and intelligent man looks like... he recognized the hazing, and the honesty... it was a Joke... IM not sure you could find a handful of people to like those wheels, especially on such a nice looking vert... however the owner has a right to like whatever he likes. There is no hate from this camp. Unfortunately there are way too many people on this forum that it would take a 2000 horse power tractor to pull an needle out 0f their tight ***... give up the accusations of hate and laugh a little. Look in the mirror it might help.

The car is gorgeous. The wheels ? not so much.
Yeah I have a truck that I have thrown some considerable money into, but not overdone... Rarely will I get even a comment on it. I have people bird dog me on the highway all day long, come chat with me at gas stations, etc. Mine's just a C5 too! They have a great attention pull, but from my experience it really hasn't been negative aside from the people jabbing me for owning a corvette just to poke fun.
Ooooh figured it out. Theyre staring at your awful wheels
And I thought " I " was tactless. That's strong language for a newbie..
AS a senior citizen in this forum, I could think of words like hideous, in poor taste, could have asked if those center actually spin, because they look like they might, but to call them awful is just plain awful

Calling them hideous is arguably as bad as calling them awful. Putting ghetto looking wheels on a Corvette IN MY OPINION is terrible. Also, wether you've been on this site for 10 years or 10 minutes an opinion is just an opinion and you can disagree with it if you like.
OMG... did that kid actually miss the humor, and the tactical hazing of two people with one post. ??? LOL
With all my love and welcome to the forum'

And what on earth does he think he is doing driving that car on a dirt road to op .....all you have to do is plasti dip those wheels and half the forum will love them
Welcome sincerely , do as you wish to your own car, but don't admit taking it to an automatic car wash or make fun of Miatas on here
nice ride! Just don't post you drove it in the rain, or on a dirt road. You will be hazed! I am a novice at this while I just bought another 98 to go with my 97. C5's in my opinion are the best body style. Today I was driving and people actually rolled down the windows and yelled. Okay it is a purple indy 500, but hey, they yelled. Have fun. No rain. Hand wash only. No dirt roads. And by the way, never ever ask what oil people use!
