I have a tail light blackout kit on my Corvette and love 'em but to get a brighter light experience I was thinking of changing over my stock bulbs to LED's. I found some 4x Xenon White 3157 Brake Tail Stop Light LED Bulbs with resistors 6 ohm. Are they worth the effort and what is your experience with them. Thanks, Rob

I don't have any personal experience with those bulbs in particular, but as far as effort goes, the swap would be a cinch. The resistors would be sufficient I'm sure, but you may want to pick up a hyperflash harness for peace of mind. Seems like a good way to keep the look of the blackouts without sacrificing safety.
Our Cree 30w LED tail lights bulbs are incredibly bright: (the car on the left has our LED bulbs. Keep in mind these are PARKING LIGHTS and not brake lights.
Here is a daytime comparison (again parking lights) Ours on the driver's side, OEM on passenger side:
We also have the hyperflash harness needed to maintain factory turn signal flash rate. As a bonus, this harness will also allow use of LED bulbs in the front. http://shop.radioflyerinnovations.co...arness-027.htm
