Here you go. These work with their coil overs for C5/C6 so it essentially a full kit for our cars. It is hydraulic, and it is expensive. When I first started looking at it, it was $4k, now it's $6k. I was really hoping to do this one day.
looked at those also, couple of brands out there but looking at doing something different don't want coil overs. By using two NEWTRY Hydraulic Jack 30T Hydraulic Cylinder Low Profile Hydraulic Ram Jack Multi-Section 2.13” Stroke Super Thin Lifting Jack on amazon they are small 2"Wx2"hx2.5" and ram extends 2", by mounting to underside of spring next to height adj. screw on each side when activated would push down on lower control arm and raise car. For powering them looking at marine 12v trim tab hydraulic pump has small size Bennett V351HPU1 Hydraulic Power Unit. Still have to work out details take wheel off check size and clearances. should run about $500
If I do it will post details and pictures
so where does this project stand looking for lift but don't want coil overs
Being this is a three year old thread I doubt you’ll get a response. I started a new thread about this months ago but didn’t get any responses. I’m sure you could adapt some old school air shocks and a compressor to get the couple inches of lift.

I'd love to see a detailed build thread if you decide to actually do this. I don't really need coilovers. However, if I was to spend over $6K for the JRI system, I would damn sure WANT coilovers. I don't think there's any question that coilovers are generally better than the leaf spring suspension, the cost is such that it's foolish to install them unless you actually need them. Honestly, when I think about it the cost of those JRI shocks is about the same as it would cost me to have my driveway altered. Both would fix my problem, and the shocks could help in other locations too.
in same situation putting ZR1 splitter on car and would have problem with driveway apron. coil over suspension maybe better for track but I like cruising and car has nice ride now think coil overs would make it to stiff. so saying ones better than the other is relative to what you want. but gotta get out there and start figuring this out don't see why it shouldn't work. (famous last words)
