Thanks to all who have responded to my many questions regarding lowering the car. As everyone knows, a lowered car looks SO MUCH better. I'll have it aligned after a few days. I barely scraped anything while taking it out for a few hours today. Turning corners was noticeable better, I'm very happy with just that improvement. The car looking better is icing on the cake!Only the airdam touched more of the speed bumps and dips on the road. Of course I'll need to go at an angle up the driveway and into parking lot, but that's no biggie. I removed all the bushings in the front, and 2/3 of the bushings in the back, while retaining stock bolts. I bought the longer bolts for the rear, but just didn't see the need for them, at least not at this time. I really want to be able to use my 11 x 17 Grand Sports rims in the rear with 315 race tires, and I'm afraid if I lower the back anymore that won't be possible. The drop is about 1.5 to 1.75 inches all around. The gap between the tire and fender lip is 1.5" in the front and 2" in the rear. While I was at it, I also added the rocker panel protectors and frame savers. To those of you who are on the fence about this mod, DO IT! :D
Re: Lowered the car, what a difference! (Barely Legal)
Barely Legal: Yes, just crank some bolts and cut off the bushings. Do a search and you'll see lots of posts with pix to help you out. Whenever you get the car ask again and I'll try to help you out, good luck with your search (I read your post about that dealership).
Gary & Barely Legal: Here are some pix, hope it works. size maybe small cuz I uploaded them to ofoto, they automatically downsize the pix files. :U

SilverZ06Chris:
You were one of a few who inspired me to lower the car! I don't know what's going on with the pictures I put at ofoto.com. Used to be able to link to that site and people could see any pix I posted. I'll try to set up a website of my own.
Now that is what i am talkin about!!! It is so much better! isnt it? Maybe now you know what i am talking about. You are a fool if you do not do this simple and cheap mod to your car. The absolute best result of any mod you can do. It just looks and handles sooooooo Much better!! Dosnt it just make you feel proud driving it now because you know it just looks BAD TO THE BONE! :D
Re: Lowered the car, what a difference! (SilverZ06Chris)
Zlicious: I think they will do it for you without any hassle. Well, SOME dealers can be real azzhole about it. But if you just want them to lower the car by turning the bolts, it should be OK since the procedure is described in the Z06 video. Now if you want them to cut bushings and put in longer bolts, they may have something to say. :D Just do it yourself. It's REAL easy.
SilverZ06Chris: I already knew that the car was bad to the bone, it just now looks the part. Thanks again! Way to go raping those over-hyped Cobras! :D
