What is the fastest you have been?
In your Corvette, was it thrilling, scary, was you nervous? Have you lost control of your car. The fastest i have been in my Vette was 115 i loved it, it was thrilling, but i was nervous as well, i have never been that fast. I wanted more. How do you know when too much is too much? I know how to drive but i wouldn't say i am a skilled driver to know what to do if i lost control of my car. What do you suggest, i guess not acting stupid in my Vette…..

I just go what ever the speed limit is. And I am sticking with that!!
Well there was a couple of times going through the divorce that the car was over 150. Just can't remember how much over. Very emotional time. But felt much better after!

I will tell you it is about acceleration for me, that is why I changed my rear gear, got a supercharger and now new motor and trans
. That being said I once hit around 145 and climbing fast, I did not realize how fast I got there.
I say around because I was concentrating on the road and the sport bike I was actually catching ....fast(quick glance) I did not like the feeling of that much speed the way the car sits now, I will not do it again unless I have some substantial handling modes and bigger brakes and maybe a roll bar done. This was of course on a closed road course with a professional driver.

Safety Car
I trapped 120 at the drag strip. On the road, I've done about 75 as that is our speed limit on the highway

I love living in the wide open spaces of the west (New Mexico). Early on a Sunday morning on a 4 lane Hwy, with not a car in sight. 180mph with two fingers on the wheel. Felt solid as a rock, not a wobble.

168 mph in my '00 vert. Was racing an '03-'04 Terminator, and didn't realize how fast we were going until the race was over. As we both slowed down, a cop passed on the other side of the street. We looked at each other, mortified, and went out separate ways. Never again.
