Default First top less cruise

First I'd like to just introduce myself to the forum. I feel kind of rude for not doing so sooner lol. Oh and I made my name before I realised that quicksilver is an actual color from a different year so anyone who wants to be technical please just stop now I know it's actually Sebring silver but what ever I was just implying it's quick and silver. But anyways I'm new to the Corvette world as this is the first one I've ever owned and this forum is packed full of helpful information so I've been grateful to have a place to go for research and just endless reading and browsing and hopefully one day I can get her up to par with some of the really nice vettes on here. I came across this car in the beginning of January and got a steal of a deal on it for just under 13k with only 50000 miles I've only had a couple nice days to really drive it but I've put her thru the gauntlet per say, and there's been no issues with the car so far besides what seems to be a chirping alternator pulley the problem is intermittent and I'll be taking it back to get fixed I'm not really concerned about it other than that the car is pretty flawless and I plan to post more pictures another nice day.

So on to the reason I started this post. Today was a beautiful sunny warm February day and I couldn't resist popping the top and taking a nice 3 or 4 hour cruise to enjoy my new ride and I stopped to snap a photo and I'm interested in seeing anyone else's girl with her top off lol. These cars are beautiful and I feel they take in a whole new personality when they go top less

Silver just looks good at anytime on any day anywhere and it's easy to maintain and color schemes are pretty endless as far as customization goes

Nice car, where are those big trees? Good call on the color clarification you obviously have been reading on here prior to joining.

Yes I have plus the automotive world is a technical place so I know there are some out there who would probably just have to chime in so I figured I'd just get it over with lol and thank you, the trees are at a park by my house I live in CT the park is in Meriden I snapped the picture quick while I was eatting my pizza and some stranger had stopped to talk about my nice car. It's the first time that's happened to me and probably won't be the last from what I've read from others

Well like I said I just bought it and have rarely gotten a chance to enjoy it so with the day we had today and pretty clean roads it was definitely time to take it out of the garage

Very nice. I definitely need to black out the taillights and probably the front corners. I bought a used set of straight pipes that I'll be putting on sometime very soon before spring officials arrives

One of the great C5 pitfalls is a wobbling harmonic balancer. I'd be willing to bet that may have something to do with your chirping alternator belt.

I bought my first Vette last August (2000 Magnetic red coupe) and it had the balancer issue as well (65k miles). I had it fixed, and other than a few minor things, the car has been 100% reliable. I drove it from Pennsylvania to Mississippi, and then from Mississippi to California with no issues at all.

Your car looks great. There's nothing like driving with the top off!

Thanks. The reliability is part of what lead me to make the choice also it's just something I've wanted for a very long time and I feel blessed to finally own it. I'm not concerned about the noise it will get dealt with regardless. Other than that the car runs like a gem

Car looks really sweet and the halo taillights really pop they definitely are a mod I plan to make in the future but for now the black out is just a more economical option for me
