Tid-Bits
1. This is a question, my car is 16 years old with 67,000 (17,000 the last two summers) I am replacing the brake hoses with steel braided and was amazed how easy the fittings loosened, have you guys had the same experience??
2. I have headaches all the time so when it comes to cleaning parts I don’t like using solvents. I decided to try my own, 5 gal. pail dump in some bleach, and some liquid laundry soap,(didn’t measure) fill half way with warm water !!!! I found it cleans really well and rinses with no residue, and cleans your hands at the same time !!!
3. Has been talk here on cleaning the engine, I have found spraying (fine mist) some Bleche-Wite over the parts you want to clean (cold engine) let it set for 15 or so minutes and then using a sprayer (fine mist) with water works well, mine was dry the next day and was cleaner than I thought it would be !!!!
4. To keep brake fluid from getting where I don’t want it I used some rubber vacuum caps to seal ends !!
Some of you most likely know this stuff or not ???? Thought I would share !!!!

I also replaced the factory rubber lines with braided lines a couple months ago on my '97. I remember the clip that hold the connection in place was a b**** to get loose, but the fittings turned pretty easily and only took a moderate effort to break free.
The bolt that holds the brake line in place at the caliper was another story, I felt like I was going to snap the bolt trying to loosen it.
