Found this under the car...
Hey earlier this week when I pulled out of the driveway, my dad found this spring underneath the car. Anyone have any idea where it goes or if it even goes to this car? Car is a 2003 Z06. Thanks

Looks like it goes to the front air damn that directs air to the radiator and ac stuff.

Check your spoiler center-section. There's a couple springs to make it flip back into position after being pushed rearward. On the back side of it.

That spring helps in "holding" the corner lights in place. I know because I just replaced the bulbs

Another possibility.
It's not even
close to being the turn signal housing tension spring. The spring you're showing is FAR stronger than that.

For months we've been waiting for
spring to arrive and when it does, we complain about it.

That's what I'm going with as well. Bet if you gave the corner lens a little push they will move.
