Window regulator - "noisy"

Window regulator - "noisy"
Checked everything out when I got it out of storage today. One thing that I found is that the driver's side window makes almost a grinding sound when going down. That being said, here are a few points to note:
-Does not make the same sound putting the window up
-If I put the window up only partially (even it I put it ALMOST all of the way up) it will then go back down with no grinding sound
-If I put the window ALL the way back up then it DOES have the grinding sound when I try to put it back down
Did a forum search and didn't see anything - mostly just threads about regulators quitting all together.
Any ideas?
