Battery

Put a new battery in car last week/ Went this morning to give my son a ride started right up and took him for a ride. Parked in driveway for about 30 minutes went to start and dead. Put charge on it for an hour and still nothing. Other than being a bad battery any ideas?

The thing that has me baffled is started right up after sitting for a week and ran great. After putting on charger for an hour voltage on charger was still showing zero. If the new battery I bought brand new was bad would it start at all like it did this morning?

Did you ever check to see if your battery connections are clean and tight?

So today just charged the battery and when I hooked it up and started right up. Week ago I cleaned the inside and had doors opened for a bit. Any other suggestions?
