Opinions on GS fender stripes
My car is ALL black including the wheels.
I was thinking of doing the red fender stripes.
Yay, nay?

There were black GS stripes on my MY Z when I picked it up at the dealership. The next day they were gone........

Red interior parts, red calipers, sure why not if you like the look. Red would go well.

I had a set of the red hashmarks on my '00. I really liked the look.

I don't understand why it's ok to put GS stripes on a non GS car, but not ok to put Z06 badges on a coupe? There never was a C5 Grand Sport, so why mimic something you don't have?

Why do people clone Shelby Mustangs, Z/28, COPO, and Yenko Camaros, Novas and Chevelles, LS6 Chevelles, Ford Thunderbolts, Hemi everything's, and on and on? Why do people put stinger hoods on small block C2s? As long as no one try to pass it off and profit on something that isn't genuine, no harm no foul. In the case of clones the advantage is you get to drive and experience something that other wise could not be replaced if destroyed in an accident without the risk. Cosmetic changes such as GS stripes or Z06 badges won't change the performance of the car but will give the owner the look he/she likes. I doubt anyone is trying to fool others or pump up a sale doing this. It's all about what you like. I understand all the "What would you do" posts but when it comes down to spraying the paint or applying the badge, wheels, shifter **** or whatever the guy who owns it has to like it. To the OP if you thought you would like GS stripes enough to ask a group of strangers you have never met you already made you choice. Do it! You can always undo it. Right?

No, I totally understand everyone has an opinion. I am new to vettes and thought I'd collect feedback and hopefully pics, which I have.
There are two things I go back and forth on...
stripes v no stripes
and
pop up headlights v fixed headlights
I suppose the best thing to do is wait until I decide.
