Default Halltech T1 producing codes! Anybody have similiar experience?

I own a 2001 Z06, and I have just bought the T1 from Halltech. After using the system for about 3 weeks (a couple hundred miles) I am getting an Air Injection code? Is this related? Has anyone also had problems with the T1 producing codes. The dealer stated it was probably dirt on a sensor and erased the code...approximately 300 miles later the check engine light came back on?!?!...it kind of makes me sad, because the system produced a nice "seat of the pants" improvment, but I didn't pay 50k for a Z06 to look at a check engine light! I checked all of the seals and tightened all of the connectors on the T1, but I still get codes? Please I need help!

Double check the install. Several have reported the elbow on reversed, the filter slid on to far (past the ridge inside the filter, and the sticky tape NOT applied. Also isn't the screen supposed to be removed on an '01?

Try this. Change the Brand of Gas. I also have a Halltech and my check engine light went on and off and on when I switched brands after a new station opened up closer to me. I went nuts and took it to the Dealer. There were no problems except Lean on the left Bank Code P1074. Upon return from the Dealer, I filled up with my old brand of gas and I never had a light come on again. The Dealer swore to me that he did nothing except plug in diagnostics.

After thinking about it, if the lean condition is right on the edge of lean, a less combustible brand of gas could cause the sensor to measure less burned hydro carbons( due to crappy gas) and thus a lean condition.

Not very technical, but it might be worth a try, if you are on the edge.

I just installed my TRIC T-1 Cobra (150 miles) and no codes or seat of the pants feel. I am taking her in to Mike Norris Motorsports tomorrow for an appointment "on his dyno". Will post results tomorrow night..... :yesnod:

There has been some post Maf issues due to improper seal at the Maf connect to the elbow. I used a thick rubber band ...Jim Hall requires a coaxial sealent "gummy" type tape (available at Radio SHACK) on the metal poRtion of the Maf to ensure a tight leak proof seal.

Make sure you do not overstuff the the filter into the elbow..do not go beyond the stop located on the filter.

The angle of the Maf should be the same as stock.

Clear the codes..you should be fine...if not give JH a call. :)

Best of luck,

Fubu/Les :)

BTW, IMHO, I'd pop the screen...it may be worth your while! ;)

The A.I.R. code is unrelated to the intake.

Check your 1" hose. It is crimped. That will cause the P0410 code.
