need advise on transmission problem
I have a 02 z06 with 1200 miles and the transmission started acting up. first it didnt want to go into third and when it did it scratched real bad and now it scratches in third all the time. The dealer wants to fix the transmission but I want it replaced. Do i have a chance to have it replaced? Or should i get ready to take a repaired one on a 1200 mile car. They said the service rep would call me when it is torn apart. Has anyone else had any problems like this? Thanks, John :cry

There have been some reports of synchro problems, so you're not alone. Personally, I doubt that you'll get a new tranny out of the deal, unless there's more wrong than the synchros... and if it IS only the synchros, I think a repair would be fine. IMHO, of course.
