Default Another Exhaust Topic

Oh no another exhaust topic , looking at Borla Atak for my 03 Z06. I am running LG pro long tube headers with cats and X pipe. Anyone have any experience with this setup , and how loud will this be, Don't want to wake the dead just want a nice aggressive tone.

I recently installed a set of Ataks. I have kooks LT's and catted x-pipe. I really like them. With the cats, it's fairly muted at idle and cruising but when you open them up, they bark loud. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the sound. I had GHL's before and they were too quite for me. Hope that helps.

I also have a set of Borla ataks with LG super pros with no cats, so its pretty loud.

This was when i still had cats

Love that sound not so sure the wife will be impressed, good set of ear plugs should solve that.
Appreciate the replies, big decision to make as whatever I get I need to live with.

cheers

We would recommend sticking with a conservative catback if you want to run long tubes and have a bearable volume for daily driving!

I have BB Rt66 on my car it was to quite for me so one day with nothing to do i did the bypass mod every ones doing on the titanium exhaust i only made a 1/2 hole it made the exhaust sound much better. i can keep the rpms down and not wake up any one late night or ride my gears and let every know i'm coming down the street, mild drone on the highway but not enough to annoy the wife or me i daily drive the car with the radio on low volume it hides it

i started with a 1/2" hole thinking i can go larger till i got the sound i was after but was happy with that, by doing the mod you can start off with a small hole and go larger till you get what your looking for tune it to your liking, i drilled the hole while the exhaust was installed then drove the car once i was pleased i pulled it off and fitting the pipe and welded it up

might be something to think about
